Present Moment..Wonderful Moment!

The past is gone and the future no one knows. So all we have is this very moment...grab it, enjoy it, live it.

Before you know it , it shall pass.

The past is gone and the future no one knows. So all we have is this very moment…grab it, enjoy it, live it.

Before you know it , it shall pass.

Life moves on pretty fast! We are caught up with the daily chores of life — cleaning up, laundry, cooking etc until that one day we realize where did all the time go. And in the rush of things we forgot to Live, we kept postponing those things that were close to our heart just because we were so busy.

The only way to Life fully is to….slow down and immerse yourself into every task that you do (not thinking about the past, not worrying about what future holds).

Here are a few pointers that can help minimize the past and the future thoughts and bring you to ‘Now’

~ Do one thing at a time— When walking, walk. When eating, eat.

~ Act Slowly— Don’t rush. Just for a few minutes deliberately slow down while doing regular chores like feel how the soap feels on your skin, how the water is warm/cold on your skin while you do the dishes.

~ Don’t be too busy — Say No to unimportant tasks, thats the only way to keep your to-do list minimal. You could be more aware of how you use your time by using a planner.

~ Do nothing — Just for 10 mins during the day, do nothing. Be aware of your breath and your thoughts. Some call it meditation.

~ Stop worrying — Know what is bothering you and take steps to work on it. Worrying about anything won’t help, it would only take away your energy and enthusiasm. Like they say ‘We suffer more in imagination than reality’.

You got one Life, Craft it your way!

Sketching all the way ~

Hey Guys..

I had been thinking of sketching for a while now... but I had no idea where and how to start.
While I was reading books to my little one, it just clicked! I could just use some of the pictures in her book to start with and in no time I was able to come up with something of my own. Here are some of them which I did in the last two weeks.

Hang in there!

Hello beautiful people,

I am posting here after a super long break. I had been through a roller coaster ride in the past year! Somethings absolutely went the way I wanted them to but there were some that made me challenge my abilities and then I hit a low that brought lots of frustration and head aches and heart aches.
With my share of bitter sweet experiences all I can say is , if you are going through something which seems impossible today. Just hang in there, this too shall pass and you would come out of it stronger and wiser.
To keep myself going during the tough times I did a little bit of calligraphy to give myself a break.
Woke up every day and did this the first thing in the morning. First few days were not so fun but just within a few days I fell in love with it.
Somedays you just need to show up in Life even though you don't feel like.Take baby steps and those baby steps make you the strong person who knows how to keep yourself together when everything seems to be falling apart.

The first 2 are my favs! I plan to make them on canvas someday..hopefully!

Love,

Hello People!

Its been a long long time since I made cards, there have been so many things keeping me busy that I hardly get time to hop on here though I have numerous creative projects to share which I have been doing with my daughter.
Its surprising how patiently she joins me to work on whatever I am doing.

This winter we went through a rough patch - everyone at home taking turns to fall sick. So things were pretty much gloomy and it took me a long time to be up and going. Being a mom and being sick honestly doesn't work!
To cheer myself up I bought myself stones and paints and painted these beauties.

Now that spring is here and we are planting our own lil garden and I plan to put all these painted stones there.
I love it how my little one runs each morning to water her plants.
Ah! little joys of life!

I also went for a paint nite event with my friends - it was so much fun to be doing things which makes me connect with myself more!
Sometimes I need a break from being a mom too :P

Wedding cards ~

Hello people!

It feels sooo wonderful to be quilling again - however busy and messy my life gets, Eenzy Beenzy bring me back to peace, it is something that gives me satisfaction and immense joy and puts me back into a state of flow.
Just recently I got a request from a customer for a unique wedding invite - there is a funny thing about me, as I speak to someone the idea of what I am going to create starts forming in my head. It's easy to have a connect to someone when you listen carefully and get interested in someone one is really excited about.

And I think sketching is a great idea to share your thoughts with the customer so that they can suggest early changes.

This one is really close to my heart, just when I thought I would not be able to pull this one off, since it has been a while I opened my craft box!
But my customer said she had been following me on fb and my blog for a while now and she really had wanted to get her card done from me!
When I just started making cards, I used to dream of bulk orders and making wedding cards - and this was like a dream coming true.

Love it how it sits beautifully on my table - I am really going to have a hard time parting with this one!

I hope you love the card as much as I do!

Healthy Sweetness ~

Its weekend again and a perfect time to spend time with myself - time to relax and rejuvenate - time to do things that I love! Since eating healthy is also on my list for the to do's this year - I'd start with something which my mom used to make for us when we were lil. She used to call them energy balls :D
Its packed with loads of dry fruits and flour and butter and sugar. I try to keep the butter and sugar on the lower side.
These are totally handcrafted with love, care and a lot of patience! I am looking forward to happy mornings with these energy balls a cup of hot coffee and the morning peaceful chants.

Sending you a happy Cheer,
Stay Healthy, Stay blessed!
