Birthday Greetings ~

When I had this idea of making handmade cards, I made the first one for my uncle who stays in Seattle. Though it was not a very good one but he was so happy with the thought of me making a handmade card for him. And I was overwhelmed coz when you do something for the first time all you need is validation from everyone around. I am glad I had this support from my loved ones to move forward.
And since then I havnt stopped. And I do make sure I send my uncle a handmade card every yr on his birthday.

Here is the card I made for him this time...I used my fav printed paper, quilled flowers and rhine stones, and it looks perfect!

And here is a closer look -

  1. beautiful card, I'm sure he will love it !!!

  2. This has turned out really well. The idea of using a printed paper rather than a white one, has made it totally stand out. Please also share your first card. It would be great to see how and where it all began :)

I have been quilling for about 2 years now and I just cant get tired of it. This one has been my favourite so far!  This is a quilled envelope and can be used as gift card or money holder. It looks way more beautiful in real! Just cant stop admiring it :P These beautiful little things have made me fall in love with them and myself.

More than Just leaves ~

Fall season is a reason to celebrate. It give you the last chance to go outdoors and enjoy the sun. People who live on the snowy side of the planet would know! :) I clicked a whole bunch for pics of the leaves - I have posted some of the pics I clicked here -

Its a sign ~

Over the past few months, I had been spending a lot of time and money on cabs travelling to my workplace and back. It was a total pain to bear the taxi drivers each day.... But I kept at it, coz I had a kind of subconscious fear of taking a bus.. But one fine day..I built up the courage and explored travelling by bus..Gosh! It was so easy...and now I wonder all day long y was'nt I doing that before!

I think when we stay safe inside our comfort zones, we limit ourselves to experiencing things we already know. So next time when you experience that queasy feeling of stepping out, don’t shy away from it ... Thats a sign!!

Explore the world around, welcome it with open arms with a smile on your face! :)
Here is a quilled pattern I made today....Quilling is my second being the first ;)
